ReBoat Project Kick-off Meeting
The ReBoat (“Circular Systemic Solution for Sustainable Tourism in European Islands by Movable Plant on a Boat and Co-Creation with Island Stakeholders”) kick-off meeting was held on 27-28 January in Milan!
Partners from across Europe collaborated to lay the foundation for innovative solutions that tackle waste, reuse resources, and inspire eco-friendly practices on islands.
As part of the ReBoat kick-off meeting, the members of the consortium had the privilege to visit the state-of-the-art laboratories at Politecnico di Milano. These cutting-edge facilities, equipped with advanced waste management tools and 3D printers, showcase the future of circularity and innovation.
The final session at Centrocot S.p.A. modern facilities gave a firsthand look at how waste textiles can be shredded and transformed into insulation, uniforms, and more – a true example of circularity in action.
A big shout-out to our coordinator, Prof. Marcello Colledani for steering this ambitious initiative, and the supportive project officer, Mr. Juan Pedro Castro, for guiding all the partners on this transformative journey.
