1st Ionian Stakeholder Workshop

On the 13th of June 2025, the ReBoat project held its first stakeholder engagement workshop at the headquarters of the Ionian Islands Region in Corfu, Greece. The meeting brought together local authorities and key stakeholders to present the project and exchange views on its implementation, particularly focusing on identifying suitable locations for the mobile recycling unit, which will operate for 28 days during summer 2027. The workshop was attended by representatives from the Municipality of Central Corfu, the Corfu Antiquities Authority, the Regional Waste Management Body (FODSA), technical staff of the Ionian Islands Region, the Deputy Governor for EU Programmes, Digital Transformation, and Innovation, as well as COSMOS project partner. Stakeholders expressed strong support for the initiative, recognising ReBoat as an opportunity for innovation, sustainable development, and technological advancement in the Ionian Islands.
