ReBoat presented at the ICECET 2025

The ReBoat project was featured at the International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Energy Technologies (ICECET 2025), held in Paris, 3-6 July 2025. Dr. Maria Flouri, representing the Decision Support Systems Laboratory (DSS Lab, EPU-NTUA) of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), presented the paper “From Linear to Circular: Transforming Waste Management in Island Communities.” The presentation highlighted the circular economy paradigm and emphasized the need to shift from linear models to sustainable, community-driven approaches—especially in island and archipelago settings. A central theme was ReBoat’s co-creational methodology, designed to engage local communities and stakeholders in the development and deployment of tailored circular waste management solutions. The work received strong interest and positive feedback, reinforcing the relevance of ReBoat’s vision and impact in bridging circular innovation and regional sustainability.
